Chalong pier, Phuket, is located in the Chalong subdistrict. and Which is overseen by the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Phuket Province, This beach area is not suitable for swimming due to its mangrove forests and clay soil. It’s easy to observe the lifestyle of local fishermen, especially during low tide when the sea recedes, revealing people gathering seafood along the shore. They either use it for their own meals or sell it.
The pier is characterized by its long stretch into the sea, primarily catering to catamarans, yachts, and speedboats, perfect for day trips, either in the morning and returning in the evening, or for leisurely boat rides to witness the sunset at Promthep Cape. This type of trip is highly popular among tourists. Additionally, it provides easy access to nearby destinations such as Phi Phi Islands, Koh Hae, Banana Beach, and Racha Islands. However, I would not recommend going to James Bond Island or other islands in the Phang Nga province area from Chalong Pier as it takes much longer, typically several hours. It might be better to depart from piers closer to those destinations for a smoother journey. (This is a personal recommendation from me.)
You can travel to Chalong Pier by private car on your own and you can park your car at Chalong Pier for FREE.
